Effective Winter Quarter 2009, all new teacher candidates entering one of Louisiana Tech University's alternative certification programs are required to complete the entrance interview survey prior to enrollment into one of the programs. It is linked under "Helpful Links (shown on the right scroll bar)."

Alternative certification candidates enrolled prior to Winter 2009 are also requested to complete the survey.

In order to better meet your needs, we would like to know: 1) why you have chosen Louisiana Tech for your alternative certification program and 2) any suggestions/comments you might have for ways to improve our programs.

With one goal in mind - to promote higher student achievement - Louisiana Tech University offers multiple alternative certification pathways according to the guidelines established by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Louisiana Board of Regents. Alternative certification programs are designed for persons who already have obtained a bachelors degree in a non-teaching area of study.
